Filled with line art portraits, This zine uses bold lines depicting hair and thinner lines showing nerves. However, the thin lines don't take away from its bold impact on the portraits as they give the portraits a sensitive feel. The bolder lines- most frequently shown with hair in the portraits- are what is most obvious to the naked eye when anyone sees me. The thinner lines- mostly used with nerves- show how chronic pain is invisible to everyone around me. Some portraits use a uniform line thickness to reflect that every experience bleeds into each other and that even the most outward aspect of my appearance trickles down to chronic pain; for example, how often I wash my hair can be due to pain and fatigue, the products I use are due to my migraine sensitivities, the style I wear reflects my pain levels.
